About

“Art Narratives” is the evolution of “Art for Housewives”, a blog that made its debut in  July of 2003 with the intent  of  encouraging craft as a form of recycling and handiwork as a means of meditating. The blog’s motto was “Make Art, Not Trash.” I started the blog after reading The Scientific Warning of 1992 that begins with “Human beings and the natural world are on a collision course.” In other words, man is on the verge of self-destruction because of his total lack of respect for our home, this planet we call Earth.

After years of promoting bricolage, I felt the need to go back to my roots as an artist. Thus “Art Narratives.” My intent is to express with words and images short stories about the presence of art and culture in our lives, especially in relationship to women. These stories are a blend of fiction and non-fiction and I often tell them from the viewpoint of Luz Corazzini, my make-believe self who can travel through time and space, something I’ve yet learned how to do.
