Selfhood

Who Are We?

The me I am today is not the me I was yesterday. So how can I know who I am if I am always changing? And you—who are you?  You’re not the same person I use to know.

Even now I’m a multiple.  The me I am when I’m alone is not the me I am when we are together. And isn’t this true for you, too.  So who are we?

Identity, like life, is not eternal.

Do our memories hold us like pegs to the old person we were? Funny how when we were younger we were an older version of ourselves and as we grow older we are a fresher version of ourselves.

  2. Wow, Jo, love this observation—-yes, I would like to become a fresher version of myself every day for the rest of my life! ❤
