Bad news: Whenever a positive case at Covid-19 is confirmed, another 5-10 not yet identified are still around. Why is this? “Basically because they are asymptomatic or with symptoms that are too light to “arouse suspicion”. Yet, precisely because they are difficult to identify, the “forgotten positives” are responsible for almost 80% of all new cases of infection. To say this is a study conducted by the team of scientists from Imperial College London in collaboration with Columbia University in New York and published in the journal Science.” Source: Coronavirus: per ogni caso confermato, altri 5-10 in giro

Above is the cover of TIME magazine dated May 15, 2017. Three years ago it warned that we were not prepared for a pandemic.
Almost 17 years ago, I started this blog after reading “1992 World Scientists’ Warning to Humanity”. Written by some 1,700 of the world’s leading scientists, including the majority of Nobel laureates in the sciences, it starts out like this:
“Human beings and the natural world are on a collision course. Human activities inflict harsh and often irreversible damage on the environment and on critical resources. If not checked, many of our current practices put at serious risk the future that we wish for human society and the plant and animal kingdoms, and may so alter the living world that it will be unable to sustain life in the manner that we know. Fundamental changes are urgent if we are to avoid the collision our present course will bring about.”
The intention of my blog, with the motto MAKE ART, NOT TRASH, was to spread the awareness that the Earth, this planet we call home, is crumbling away because of our irresponsible and narcissistic behaviour. Because of greedy, ruthless beings who worship money and not humanity. Because of herds of psychologically unemployed people who have distanced themselves from reality just to have objects they don’t need.
Why do people prefer to believe politicians with an agenda instead of the experts? Politicians are paid by the people and should protect, not exploit, us.
